Frequently Asked QuestionsWhat is ComedyCures? The ComedyCures Foundation is a national 501(c)3 non-profit organization. The ComedyCures mission is to bring joy, laughter, and therapeutic humor programs to kids and grown-ups living with illness, depression, trauma and disabilities.
Who do you help? We encourage everyone to laugh for wellness and find joy in their journey. We specifically target kids and grown-ups living with illness, their families and care-givers. We travel to hospitals, camps, senior centers, health facilities and wellness events throughout the country.
What kind of events, activities and programs do you provide? Live ComedyEvents, Inspirational Keynote Speeches, Laugh-Out_Loud Support Groups, The Wellness Joke Book Workshop, 24-hour toll-free LaughLine (1-888-HA-HA-HA-HA)
Does laughter really help your body? There is growing scientific evidence between the association of humor and health. Numerous studies support the benefits of laughter in rehabilitation, immune response and coping with stress.
Is my donation tax-deductible? Absolutely! The ComedyCures Foundation is recognized by the IRS as a 501 (c)3 non-profit organization. That means that your generous contributions are tax deductible to the extent allowed by law.
How Can I Request A Live ComedyCures Program? In order to request a Live Comedy Program or request ComedyCures involvement in an event, you can fill out an event proposal form on our website or call our office at 201-727-1770 to schedule your event.
How can I be put on your mailing list? Please send a request to smile@comedycures.org.
How Can I Donate a Joke? We need your family-friendly jokes! Call our toll-free LaughLine at 1-888-Ha-Ha-Ha-Ha! It will give you the option of hearing a joke or donating a joke. You can also e-mail your joke to smile@comedycures.org!
How can I volunteer? Simply fill out a volunteer information sheet (available on our website) or send an e-mail to smile@comedycures.org. |
